Welcome at Research School on Multi-Modal Sensor Systems for Environmental Exploration (MOSES)
MOSES is a high level project and research oriented postgraduate programme that qualifies for autonomous scientific work and professional activity in research and development. One of the main goals is to promote the participants to the German doctoral degree Dr.-Ing. or Dr. rer.nat. within a period of three years. MOSES offers research and education opportunities in all aspects of sensors, multi modal sensor systems, sensor data processing, multi sensor data fusion, data mining simulation and optimization of complex sensor systems with applications in nearly any scientific and technical field.

MOSES is a joint initiative of the four network partners ZESS, FOMAAS, FHR and Fraunhofer FKIE and will be managed by the Steering Committee (SC) as the decision making body. MOSES will be coordinated by Prof. Dr. Otmar Loffeld (ZESS). The further members of the SC are Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Wiechert (FOMAAS), Prof. Dr. Joachim Ender (Fraunhofer FHR), Prof. Dr. Jürgen Grosche (Fraunhofer FKIE). The Steering Committee is complemented by the External Advisory Board (EAB). Together Steering Committee and External Advisory Board form MOSES’ Supervisory Board. In order to facilitate the operational management, individual responsibilities will be delegated to individual committees, such as the Recruitment and Personal Affairs Committee (RPAC), and the Doctoral Training, Examination and Dissemination Committee (DEDC). The concept is completed by the ESRs’ Self Administration.
