6-Month Research Fellowship in Machine Learning at ZESS

Scholarship Announcement

The Center for Sensor Systems (ZESS) at the University of Siegen is pleased to announce a special scholarship program, generously funded by the Lamarr Institute, for researchers with a strong background in machine learning for data analysis. This unique opportunity is open to Master’s students, PhD candidates, and Postdoctoral researchers who wish to spend six months at the University of Siegen, contributing to a research project at ZESS in the area of machine learning.

ZESS is a leading research center focused on the co-development of sensor systems and the data analysis algorithms required to process the recorded data. This scholarship will support innovative projects that merge sensor technology with machine learning, aligning with the research mission of both ZESS and the Lamarr Institute, known for its pioneering work in artificial intelligence.

Scholarship Details:

  • Duration: 6 months
  • Location: Center for Sensor Systems (ZESS), University of Siegen, Germany
  • Research Focus: Machine learning in conjunction with sensor systems
  • Eligibility: Open to Master’s students, PhD candidates, and Postdoctoral researchers with an interest in machine learning, sensor technology, and data analysis
  • Funding: Provided by ZESS with kind support of the Lamarr Institute, covering 992 Euros per month for master students, 1365 Euros per month for PhD students, and 2700 Euros per month for Postdocs

Application Requirements:

  • CV highlighting relevant research experience
  • Statement of research interest (1-2 pages) outlining your expertise and interests as well as their alignment with ZESS and the Lamarr Institute’s goals
  • Academic transcripts
  • List of Publications (for PhD and postdoctoral researchers)

Application Deadline: 30.11.2024

Scholarship Start: Any time between January and July 2025
