EMINENT Summer School 2025 at ZESS

Looking back on an inspiring week: The EMINENT Summer School 2025 at the ZESS – Center for Sensor Systems at Universität Siegen was a complete success!

From 21 to 25 July, the first cohort of EMINENT students immersed themselves in a diverse programme of teaching, research, and industry insights. Alongside expert lectures, participants presented their Professional Design Experience Projects (PEP) and received valuable feedback from the coordinators.

A tour of the new INCYTE research facility offered a first glimpse into future state-of-the-art labs, while the visit to SUMMIT brought the world of sensor technology to life with fascinating tours of the pmdtechnologies ag laboratories. In addition, two inspiring regional success stories – ensun and AutomatIQ Synergies GmbH – showcased entrepreneurial spirit and innovation through compelling start-up pitches. The career service workshop added further value by supporting the students’ personal and professional development.

The perfect conclusion to the week: a relaxed farewell BBQ on the LeoWiese at Campus AR. In beautiful summer weather, participants reflected on their experiences and shared their impressions.
