Dr. Jonas Hölzer receives Dirlmeier Foundation Förderpreis
Congratulations to Dr. Jonas Hölzer who received the “Förderpreis” of the Dirlmeier Foundation on 11th December 2025 for his outstanding PhD Thesis on the Optimization of non-linear laser based measurement techniques for the investigation of reactive flows.

Dr. Hölzer continues his research on laser based thermometry and species concentration measurements of technical systems for renewables as a postdoctoral researcher at ZESS. A particular emphasis of his current research is the advancement of coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (CARS), the gold standard technique for spatially and temporally resolved, non-intrusive reactive flow diagnostics, as well as the powerful laser-induced grating spectroscopy (LIGS) for the investigation and optimization of technical processes utilizing ammonia as a carbon free hydrogen and energy carrier.
