Cover at Journal of Raman Spectroscopy

The article “Experimental Determination of the Temperature-Dependent Broadening Effect of Water Vapour on the S-Branch Raman Linewidths of Nitrogen” by Henri Misoi, Jonas Hölzer, and Thomas Seeger made it to the front page of the first issue 2025 of the Journal of Raman Spectroscopy 2025.

Front page of January issue of Journal of Raman Spectroscopy. Cover art from Misoi, H., Hölzer, J. and Seeger, T. (2025), Experimental Determination of the Temperature-Dependent Broadening Effect of Water Vapour on the S-Branch Raman Linewidths of Nitrogen. J Raman Spectrosc, 56: 57-66. https://doi.org/10.1002/jrs.6742

The application of the S-branch Raman linewidths determined here leads to an improvement in temperature evaluation accuracy using the rotational CARS technique for nitrogen-water vapour gas mixtures. We are very happy that our research is of such relevance that the publisher approached us to contribute the cover art for the January issue and congratulate Dr Jonas Hölzer, postdoc with Prof Thomas Seeger, who is corresponding author, as well as Henry Misoi, doctoral student with Prof Seeger!
